Alibosa (also called Sarara)

Samburu warriors found Sarara trapped in a well, and he came to Reteti as a four-month-old calf. He settled into the herd quickly and stayed close to his best friend, Lemorijo, who was released with him in 2024. The two have tested their strength against each other since the day they met, play that taught them a lot as they grew into wild elephants. At Reteti he was loved for the sweet sounds he made while sucking his trunk, sounds so charming that the other calves started copying them.
